Twas 'Pirates and Princesses' at a local park on the weekend. Shaun and I thought we were going there to let them have a bit of a dress up and listen to a brass band. They also had a princess jumping castle, face painting, sausage sizzle, free pirate rides on a boat that went cross river and back, coffee van and an appearance by Cinderella and Jack Sparrow (this guy was SO in character and stumbling everywhere with funny one liners). It was hilarious, the kids just loved it and the four of us ended up going on the pirate ship for an adventure 'on the high seas' before we left to go home.
