Xman plays Xbox

Start of school holidays officially started with a weekend visit to the library for a game then storytime. Tomorrow we have Xanders long time pal over for his first ever sleepover, so it's hotdogs all round for dinner, & lights out at 7:30pm.

Police!

Xander loves all things police lego. So whenever we see anything police, he gets carried away like any boy! And on our way out from a fair to the car park, there was a major opportunity to grant this little chaps wish.

Superhero Sunday

Xander's school buddy turned 5 today and the theme was 'come as your favourite superhero'. We had the top but no mask, so time to ring a girls dad that would most definately have one on hand (I already did the dissapointed toy shop ring around - no batman masks when its clearly spiderman season). We hit paydirt and one happy batman xman ripped it up in true style.

'Mini Suburban Avengers' take five.

Play date over the weekend with a couple of Xander's buddies while us Mums had a lovely catch up while consuming copious amounts of Bianca's tea. The boys had a top time mucking about and getting into character.

Aaaarrrrrr!

These two decided to sail on the high seas one afternoon. They built this nautical number under Xanders carefull watch in his sisters room. I was this close to walking the plank as I didnt serve afternoon tea quick enough.

Xanders library adventures

I have finally gone up to that service counter and organized a library card registered in Xander's name, a fitting momento to herald the opening of the new Carindale library. There is so much to do there, it gives the kids 2hrs of great entertainment. But now that he's found out that there are Xbox gaming consoles available to use, I will have to use them as 'bribary at the library'.

Dreamworld School Holiday FUN!

The first opening day of the new Madagascar + Shrek fun at Dreamworld was a great way to kick off the school holidays. Xander loved the Log Ride (while I pretended to be Lady Di in THE famous log ride pic) & Thunder Rapids. Stayed at Surfers Paradise for the night and down to the beach for a paddle the next morning. Copenhagen ice cream with park life to cap it off. YAY!

Who's a Prep Scool boy now??!

FIVE! 60 months

Happy 5th Birthday Xander! We had a great morning tea with his friends at the bike park where for the first hour the kids were on their bikes around the tracks happy to entertain themselves. We also had 'pin the tail on the donkey', 'sac races', 'pinata', 'pass the parcel' and 'who can sit on the balloon and pop it first'. The kids had a ball and Xander thought is was awesome!!!

59 months

A trip to the Science center wouldn't be complete without doing a life size jigsaw of the human body. It held his attention when he completed the skeleton, but after that, it was whatever went wherever! I blame the kids clothing fashion industry for his short attention span. They are the ones putting jolly rogers on every item of boys clothing and making every thing else in a boys life seem increasingly less important... and here ends incoherent my rant.

59 months

In Surrealism for Kids, young visitors are invited to construct their own surrealist sculptures using everyday items before photographing it and adding it to a collective display. This is what Xander worked on and below is how it turned out when he took the image from the camera that operates inside the white box.
