Ahhh, nothing beats dressing as your favourite movie star at day care and of coarse 98.5% were all superhero's. My minor task was to have a mask ready. So there I was, tracing one off the computer screen at night, like a giant light box. Bat girl also made a cameo appearance, otherwise her tantrum would have overwhelmed me.

Now, what would a visit be to our wonderful Qld Museum without a quirky picture of the kiddies pretending to be arthropods? The dinosaur garden was STILL being worked on much to our dismay, so of coarse we indulged in some comfort food (hot chips) at the cafe to ease the pain. YEAH!

If you thought that there was ever going to be a shortage with something on this site to do with Lego, THEN THINK AGAIN! Xander was in his first Lego comp over Easter at 'The Festival of Sails'. He competed in his age 3-6yr group, which I must say there seemed to be a few tall entrants of questionable age.... You had 20 mins to complete your masterpiece. You needed to get the Lego from the large table situated in the center of the marquee and take the blocks back to your station to keep building. As you can see, Xander was too busy working the crowd and waving to his fans to pursue ultimate Lego glory.

Around the corner of the lounge room Xander came into the kitchen as proud as punch declaring he was going hunting with his dog. The 'woody hat' layering over the 'buzz light-year helmet' was an obvious choice when one goes hunting in the woods, right down to the laser tag gun that he found at the park one day. LOVE IT!

What more could a LEGO addict ask for than this wonderful interactive installation at GOMA? (try saying that ten times fast!). He could have stayed there all day building stuff with Grandpa quite easily. We just won't mention that pesky architect student sitting nearby who was putting all of our plastic block building to shame.

Behold Xander's first LEGO toilet training 'trophy'! For every 7 dry nights he gets a lego treat which he is always over the moon about since he loves to put his head in the lego cloud each and every day. I'm hoping its not going to take Cynthia this long to get completely out of nappies!!!!

At daycare last week, Xander and three others decided that they wanted to wear make-up. The teacher thought that it might be a better idea if they wear face paint instead. Xander is Iron Man (I was VERY quickly corrected by Xander when I entered the playground and called him a Ninja Turtle) and Cynthia is ...well, I have no idea actually. anyone???

Footage taken on Shaun's phone one weekend at a park "Hang on tight!"
Bark yard NEARLY able to have kids trample all over it shortly. Just have to wait till the 'ol Sir Walter grass takes hold and then we're good to go.

Headed near the water on Sunday to get the kiddies out and about while our backyard is a dirt bike haven until the grass gets laid. Here's a shot of Xander assuming the position of blocking the whales waterspout with his derriere. Another proud moment for any parent to capture on film.

Apologies for 'nil' entry last week. Xander & Shaun took a week off and headed to central Vic to visit Nan & Pop. They had a brilliant time with Xander fixated on Dinosaur fossil hunting in the district while they stayed on the farm before spending the remainder of their trip @ Geelong. If only they could have packed some 'serenity' in their luggage to bring home! ;D

Xander just loves playing and building with Daddy's leggo that Nan sent up for him. Racing cars, buildings, boats & tall people. He will spend forever with the stuff if you'd let him! Beats TV. Looking to invest in a second hand leggo table that has the hole in the top that you just push all the leggo through to clean it away 'the easy way', as xander's pre-school teacher has confirmed what we already knew, "Xander does NOT like to pack away".
